Perfumery is an art. Paris, from Yves Saint-Laurent, is an art.

To this day, perfume is another complement to beauty and the perfumes factoryes they know, all a creative discourse that turns around it. An identity, an attitude, a unique personality: perfume becomes an object full of art in many ways.

The perfume Paris of Yves Saint Laurent

Paris has already completed its 35 years of life. However, it still has a lot of pull in the industry. Today it’s a classic floral fragrance that remains a reference for many women, a perfume that never goes out of style.

"Paris" takes care of its presence and good taste. It is the great platonic love of thousands of perfumers around the world, including its creator, Yves Saint Laurent.

What does the perfume represent?

Paris represents sophistication, the elegance of the Parisian woman that is represented by fresh flowers. The intentions of the perfume are very clear.

Paris is the most magical city in all of France, thanks to its passionate appeal. The city reaches its maximum splendour during the spring season, when the streets are filled with flowers, colours and a very optimistic romanticism that can be seen in any corner of the city.
This is why the great Yves decided to create a perfume that would represent this beautiful city. When you look at its creativity, its bottle, etc ... everything leads to a fragile and harmless fragrance. However, appearances are not always as we expect. "Paris" is a radical and scandalous, complex, passionate, romantic and very powerful fusion.
Life at the cafeteria, the whispering of people, the famous gardens and the well-known boulevards ... are a challenge that Yves Saint Laurent had to assume and transport to a single fragrance. And he achieved it.

How does Paris smell Like?

It is not just a simple flower scent. It has a really expanded, frothy and very dramatic nature. When you smell a breath of "Paris" you will imagine a voluminous bouquet of roses ... pink roses.
The perfume doesn’t only work with roses, you will notice it. Pink colour is the idea that comes to mind. Everything is sweet and intense, a bourgeoisie with a funny and burlesque touch.
It is a perfume that belongs to the Olfactory Floral Woody Musk family. It consists of Head Notes such as wild rose; its Heart Notes are formed by roses, violets, orange blossom, lily of the valley, peony and bell; finally, the Base Notes are sandalwood and white musk.
Everything revolves around roses as main protagonists of the aroma, sharing that exclusivity with the violet, giving it a creamy sensation.

Paris is stormy, with a strong personality inside, unpredictable and rewarding. On the skin of some people, the most dominant note is the violet instead of the rose.
The interesting thing is how well it is balanced. It is not dense despite being a strong perfume; thanks to the roses and violets that aren’t powdered specially for the occasion. Although it has an eighties touch, it has managed to survive during all these years. For young people, it could be a big surprise if they gave it a try.

Conclusions

"Paris" is cheerful, bright and dazzling. It is a perfume with a large number of people supporting it and keeping it always in the top positions of the best sold perfumes in Europe.
This perfume is described in Europe as a perfume for young people, for the classic and the timeless ones. In America it is seen as a more traditional, mature and stately aroma.

Its smell is floral and sweet, strong, green and fresh; all at the same time. It has a very long duration, its average duration is about 8 hours.
Since it was released, other versions of the same perfume have been coming out, similar to the original one. A total of 13 compose these versions made with a romantic, floral and spring inspiration.
